Florida Horsemen Mourn the Passing of J.B. McKathan

J.B. McKathan

This ad ran in late 2015 on the back cover of the prestigious powerbroker journal “Influence Magazine” statewide. Hard copies were distributed all over Florida’s Capitol in #Tallahassee, so that #legislators could see how #Thoroughbred #horseracing industry leaders like the McKathan Brothers Training Center matter to Florida’s economy

Our hearts are very heavy with shocking news of the unexpected passing of McKathan Brothers Training Center‘s J.B. McKathan.

In addition to becoming world famous for his role in breaking and training American Pharoah, who shattered a nearly four decade Triple Crown drought, J.B. was deeply appreciated by the Florida Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association for quickly stepping forward and lending his family’s name to our legislative efforts to preserve the Florida Thoroughbred Horse Racing industry several years ago.

The FHBPA sends our deep sympathy and heartfelt condolences to Leigh, Kevin, Chris, and the entire McKathan family.
